What is the StoryInfuser?
Let's say you work in the communications department for a digital healthcare company and you want to share stories from patients about their healthcare journeys to include on your website. Or, you are putting together a sales deck and you’d like to share testimonials from satisfied customers.
This is where the StoryInfuser can help.
The StoryInfuser is a feature that makes it easy for you to request and collect insights, stories, and testimonials from people with or without a Narratize account, and integrate what they contribute into the content you create on Narratize.
What types of stories can I collect?
Below are the different types of stories you can currently collect and generate with Narratize:
- Technical insights: Ask a subject matter expert about a technological innovation.
- Challenge Story: Learn about how someone overcame obstacles.
- Patient Story: Gather insights from patients about their healthcare journey.
- Testimonial: Collect stories from people that explain how you, your product, or service solved a problem for them.
- Ask for Challenge Areas: Get insights from people on your team about what stands in the way of innovation.
- Ask for Solutions: Give space to your team to share their ideas about how to solve problems.
How does the StoryInfuser work?
There are three phases to the StoryInfuser: 1) you set up the StoryInfuser and send the request to the contributor 2) the contributor answers questions and submits their insights 3) you generate content using the insights they contribute.
Phase 1: Setting up a StoryInfuser on Narratize
- Locate StoryInfuser on the Template Library and click Collect.
- Choose the type of story you’d like to collect.
- Give your project a title and save it to a project folder. This will allow you to find it later on your Dashboard. Click Next.
- Preview the questions your contributor will answer when they get your request.
- Next, create the Welcome Page for your contributors.
- Give your Welcome Page a title and give some instructions to help your contributors understand why you’re asking them to share their stories. The Welcome Page is the page your contributors will land on when they click on the invitation to share their story. Click Next.
- Decide what info you’d like to collect from contributors (name, location, etc) and Click Next.
- Get a QR code and link you can share with contributors! 👏
Phase 2: Contributor submits their story
- The contributor will scan the QR code or open the link you’ve sent.
- Then, they respond to the prompts and give permission to share their stories.
- The contributor can submit their responses directly or turn their responses into a story to submit.
Phase 3: Turn their stories into content
- The stories the contributor submits will show up on your Dashboard under My Projects.
- When you click on the submitted story, it will open up in the Editor.
- From the Editor, you can regenerate the story, edit in the rich text editor, or use it to create something new!
